It’s been five years in a row that Yalta hosted the most spectacular sport show of Ukraine – stage of Ukrainian Championship and stage of European Rally Cup (East).
The official opening of 5th Prime Yalta Rally-2009 took place on 11 September. To honor the opening of Prime Yalta Rally 2009 crews of all participating teams rode out along the Yalta quay. Apart from this all the guests could enjoy "Ocean of Elsa" concert.
This year the competition was accompanied by concerts of such artists as Boris Moiseev, Anastasia Volochkova, Lyogkiy flirt, Nikita, Not Angels, Inussa Dawuda, the extremely popular European house-vocalist and saxophonist. And of course there were awesome parties and high-profile social events, that many dream of getting to but only few can. Total number of audience reached 500000 people. Approximately 1000 VIPs – movie stars, sport stars, famous politicians and business people, also attended the event.
Special stages of route-2009 – were more difficult and treacherous in comparison with the previous year and the overall length of race totaled 200 km. of twisty mountain roads.
This time crews from Ukraine, Belorus, Russia, Lithuania, Georgia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Armenia, Sweden, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Poland, Hungary and Austria competed for the title and President Cup.
Prime Yalta Rally 2009 has one more time proven itself to be the most ambitious sport and entertainment event, and we have made one more step to the realization of stage of World Rally Championship and transforming Yalta into Eastern-European Monte-Carlo for motorsports.
